City Hall window mural by professional Ohio muralist Grace Nestor-Louie
That is a wrap on North Canton’s first-ever Beauty on Main project. I was honored to be selected to paint a temporary window mural at North Canton City Hall in North Canton, Ohio, just in time for the Fourth of July. This public art installation was created as part of a new initiative to bring creativity and visual interest to Main Street.
The window mural features bold red, white, and blue striping paired with symbolic elements that reference North Canton’s local landmarks and city history. Designed specifically for City Hall, the artwork emphasizes civic pride while adding color to a highly visible public space in the heart of downtown.
I am grateful to the City of North Canton for the opportunity to contribute to such a community-centered public art project, and to NOPEC for supporting the Beauty on Main initiative through their community grant program.
Projects like this highlight how temporary murals and window art can support local identity, and invite residents to engage with their city. I am excited to help kick off this new Main Street initiative and look forward to creating more public art throughout Northeast Ohio.
